Episode Introduction

Angela, is a self-made cybersecurity professional who began her career at the age of 15. Born and raised in Texas, Angela's mother wouldn't let her buy the clothing she wanted until she had her own money, which led her to start working on a sailboat and eventually at Starbucks for five years. While at Starbucks, she worked on flipping items on eBay in her free time, leading to a tech job at the local Apple store. It was there that she found her love for cybersecurity and began learning about incident response and forensics. After getting a degree in cybersecurity from U.T.S.A., she landed an internship at a local Austin company and began building her skills in red teaming. Angela shares her favorite types of hacking, including social engineering, Linux privilege escalation, and cloud pentesting.
